It was an exciting and important day at Genesis Center as a room filled with partners and supporters of the organization formally recognized the opening of the agency’s revitalized clinical healthcare spaces. The project was made possible through a $263,000 Congressional Appropriation from Senator Jack Reed. Thankfully, the Senator was able to attend the event and see the funds put to good use. The morning of the ribbon cutting, general contractor, Red House Design Build, capped off the successful project by hosting a company-wide volunteer day at Genesis Center and leading the repainting of the building’s two main hallways. A current Genesis Medical Assistant student, Glenda Rosario, also spoke at the event and expressed her appreciation for the program and the new classroom that she and her classmates now use every day.
