Adult Education and High School Equivalency
Genesis Center works with Providence Housing Authority to offer a range of options for adults who want to earn a high school credential and continue on into job training, college, or employment.
GED® preparation classes are offered in the evening to accommodate adults who work during the day. Our affordable classes are offered at Providence Housing Authority's facility at 50 Laurel Hill Ave. Participants learn content knowledge, tech skills, and test-taking strategies to prepare them to pass the GED exams. Call or visit for more information.
NEDP (National External Diploma Program)
The National External Diploma Program (NEDP) is a second option for adults who want to earn a high school diploma. Our classes support participants through the application process and assessment portion of the NEDP. Call or visit for more information.
Adult Basic Education
Many adults need to strengthen their reading, writing or math skills before earning their high school credential. Our Literacy and Pre-High School Equivalency classes help adults improve their basic skills so they can succeed in GED® preparation classes or NEDP completion. Our affordable classes are offered at Providence Housing Authority's facility at 50 Laurel Hill Ave. Call or visit for more information.
New students are enrolled in July, September, and January on a first-come, first-served basis. You can apply through our website at any time, and a member of our staff will contact you when a class becomes available.
Adult Ed classes cost $35 per session. This fee enrolls a student for the entire session (Fall, Spring, or Summer). There are no other fees or expenses for students.
