   Classes are offered at our facility on Potters Avenue during the day and evening hours.

Our classes meet the communication and literacy needs of adults at home and at work.  Instruction addresses listening, speaking, reading and writing.Genesis Center integrated language classes offer the following components:

Pronunciation ● Technology ● Reading ● Writing ● Health ● Family Literacy ● Work Readiness ● Civics

Enrollment Periods: New students are enrolled in July, September, and January. You can apply through our website at any time by clicking here. A member of our staff will contact you when a class becomes available. Applicants are enrolled on a first-come, first served basis depending on the space available in classes.

Waiting List: There is currently a wait of 3-6 months for English classes.


     Morning Classes: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 11:30 am
     Afternoon Classes: Monday through Thursday, 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm
     Evening Classes: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm


Genesis Center is a member of the RI Citizenship Consortium, a partnership of nonprofit agencies that is committed to assisting immigrants on their quest to becoming full fledged United States citizens. As a member of the consortium, Genesis Center provides classes in Citizenship PReparation for immigrants who want to complete the process of becoming a US Citizen.

Enrollment Periods: New students are enrolled on an ongoing basis. 


     Afternoon Classes: Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm
     Evening Classes: Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
